Attorney Eric Grinnell of Richmond, KY; ethical troll

The state of Kentucky presented Eric S. Grinnell with a law license in 2011 after he graduated from the University of Louisville School of Law.

FYI: This isn’t Eric’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received four (4) admonitions for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

The Kentucky Bar Association found Eric guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Charged with fifty-five (55) counts of misconduct
  • Faild to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to respond to client requests for information 3
  • Failed to communicate the basis of his fees to his client
  • Failed to return unearned fees upon being terminated
  • Failed to appear at scheduled court hearings on behalf of his client
  • Failed to explain a matter to the extent reasonably necessary to permit the client to make informed decisions regarding the representation
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you said Eric!)
  • Eric ordered to refund a total of $26,400 to 14 prior clients (victims) involving unearned fees

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Kentucky Supreme Court punished Eric by gifting him with a complimentary 2-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. November 2022), Eric practices his so-called brand of law at 207 West Irvine Street in Richmond, Kentucky.
