Attorney Diane Goudy of Indianapolis, IN; ethical gremlin

The state of Indiana provided Diane Marie Goudy with a law license in 1993 after she graduated from the Indiana University School of Law.

The Indiana Disciplinary Commission found Diane guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
  • Failed to promptly comply with client requests for information
  • Failed to surrender client papers to client upon termination
  • Failed to refund unearned advance fees (cheater)
  • Failed to explain matter to allow client to make informed decisions re: representation
  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice
  • Failed to withdraw representation when required to so act
  • Failed to respond to numerous client calls
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Diane!)

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Indiana Supreme Court punished Diane by gifting her with a complimentary 6-month suspension of her law license.

As we speak (ca. May 2020), Diane practices at 155 East Market Street in Indianapolis, Indiana.
