Attorney James Ayers of Crawfordsville, IN; deceitful loser

The state of Indiana presented James Edward Ayers with a law license in 1966 after he graduated from Harvard University School of Law.

In one matter, the U.S. 7th Circuit Court of Appeals accused Jimmy of altering photos he submitted as evidence in a slip and fall case. In dressing down Jimmy, the appellate court stated in part:

  • “As noted in our opinion, … Attorney Ayers represented repeatedly in his brief and during oral argument that the photographs are from the date of plaintiff’s injuries. No factual basis existed for such statements, and none of the reasons he offers in his response to the Order to Show Cause provide such a factual basis’
  • “For Attorney Ayers to argue these photographs are the best evidence of notice and then repeatedly represent to this court, in writing and orally, that they depict something they do not constitutes such unbecoming conduct, which warrants sanctions.”

The court then sanctioned Jimmy in the amount of $1,000.

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Jimmy for his egregious misconduct by the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Indiana Supreme Court.

As we speak (ca. January 2020), Jimmy practices with Wernle Ristine & Ayers at 309 Dubois Avenue in Crawfordsville, Indiana.
