Attorney Peter Currie of Geneva, IL; convicted druggie

The state of Illinois presented Peter Lawrence Currie with a law license in 2004 after he graduated from Washington University Law School.

The Disciplinary Commission found Pete guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Pete pleaded guilty to criminal charges of driving under the influence (DUI), possession of cannabis (marry-wanna) paraphernalia, and battery.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Pete by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 60-day suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Pete.
