The state of Illinois presented Maurice J. Barry, Jr. with a law license in 1985.
The Disciplinary Commission found Maurice guilty of the following misconduct.
Maurice made several false statements in pleadings that he filed in court. Maurice also found it acceptable to make false statements in open court about whether he represented a party in a lawsuit.
As a consequence of her misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Maurice by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.
As we speak (ca. November 2012) Maurice continues to practice in the Normal, Illinois area.
