Attorney Maureen Williams of Peoria, IL; convicted felon

The state of Illinois presented Maureen Williams with a law license in 2005 after she graduated from Hamline University School of Law.

The Illinois Registration and Disciplinary Commission Office found Maureen guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice
  • Submitted a falsified service hours worksheet to Woodford County Court Services personnel
  • Subsequently pleaded guilty to one count of forgery
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty, or misrepresentation

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Maureen by gifting her with a complimentary 90-day suspension of her law license.

As we speak (ca. April 2022), Maureen practices her so-called brand of law with the Law Offices of Maureen Williams at 416 Main Street in Peoria, Illinois.
