Attorney Adres Ybarra of Chicago; cheating slacker

The state of Illinois presented Adres Ybarra with a law license in 2008 after he graduated from Hamline University School of Law.

The Office of Disciplinary Commission found Adres guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to refund an unearned fee, by conduct including failing to refund the unearned portion of the $700 legal fee 
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
• Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
• Failed to refund an unearned fee, by conduct including failing to refund the unearned portion of the $1,000 legal fee 
• Failed to comply with client information inquiries
• Lied to client there was a court date scheduled on estate matter when no estate had been opened
• Failed to refund an unearned fee, by conduct including failing to refund the unearned portion of the $2,000 legal fee 

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Adres by the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court.
