Attorney Marcia Cohen of Chicago; ethical goblin

The state of Illinois presented Marcia Lynn Cohen with a law license in 1978 after she graduated from the John Marshall School of Law.

The Disciplinary Commission found Marcia guilty of the following misconduct.

• Knowingly engaged in the illegal practice of law
• Over four years while license suspended, she represented the City of Berwyn in approximately 100 different municipal ordinance proceedings before a hearing officer

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Marcia by gifting her with a complimentary 30-day suspension of her law license.

As we speak (ca. October 2018) Marcia practices with M.L. Cohen & Associates at 1636 North Wells Street in Chicago, Illinois.
