Attorney Robert E. Burrows of Chicago; ethically deprived

Robert E. Burrows was provided with a law license by the Illinois Supreme Court in 1991.

In the recent past, an ethics complaint was filed against Mr. Burrows that charged him with the following misconduct:
  • Mishandling over $2,000 in funds that was owed to another law firm from a mutual client’s settlement proceeds
  • Made an unauthorized (aka, forgery) endorsement on a check
As punishment for his misconduct, the enablers sitting on Illinois Supreme Court gifted Burrows with a ninety- day suspension.

As we speak (ca. November 2011) Mr. Burrows practices his so-called brand of law at 40 N. Wells in Chicago.

If ya live in the Chicago area I would suggest that you avoid Mr. Burrows unless you’re looking to employ an attorney who is unethical.
