Attorney Shirley Wong of Chicago; ethical misfit

The state of Illinois presented Shirley Wong with a law license in 1980 after she graduated from the John Marshall Law School.

The Disciplinary Commission found Shirley guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Shirley mismanaged $38,297 in insurance proceeds that she had agreed to hold in escrow for the restoration of an apartment building.

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Shirley by gifting her with a complimentary 6-month suspension of her law license.

As we speak (October 2017), Shirley practices with Shirley L. Wong Ltd at 77 West Washington Street in Chicago, Illinois.
