Attorney Misty Paxton of Decatur, GA; slacker, loser

The state of Georgia presented Misty Oaks Paxton with a law license in 2009 after she graduated from North Carolina Central University School of Law.

The Georgia State Bar found Misty guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to notify client he did not qualify for home loan modification
• Never sent a mortgage modification package to client’s mortgagee for at least 6 months
• Failed to abide by her client’s decisions concerning the scope and objectives of representation
• Failed to advise her client about the division of fees between her and another law firm

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Georgia Supreme Court punished Misty by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.  

And lastly, as one would suspect, Misty fails to mention the above misconduct on her self-serving website at www.thespiritualattorney.com/meet-misty.  Apparently, she chose to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients so he wouldn’t limit her future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. February 2022), Misty practices her so-called brand of law with Cook PC at 970 Peachtree Industrial Blvd in Suwanee, Georgia.
