Attorney Joseph Fredenburg of Grand Junction, CO; convicted felon

The state of Colorado presented Joseph Lester Fredenburg with a law license in 2020 after she graduated the University of Colorado School of Law.

Disciplinary Counsel found Joey guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Pled guilty to assault in the second degree—strangulation, a class 4 felony
  • Pled guilty to harassment as an act of domestic violence, a class 3 misdemeanor
  • The guilty pleas were based on the report of a man who told law enforcement that he believed he saw Joey choking his then-girlfriend
  • When the man intervened and pulled Joeyfrom the woman, Joey pushed him against a wall
  • Joey then wrapped his hands around the man’s neck for five seconds, strangling the man, who stated, “If I don’t get help, I’m going to pass out”
  • The man said that he could feel Joey’s thumbs press into his esophagus
  • Committed a criminal act that reflects adversely on the lawyer’s honesty, trustworthiness, or fitness as a lawyer in other respects

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Colorado Supreme Court punished Joey by gifting her with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. June 2022), Joey practices his so-called brand of law with Killian Davis Richter Kraniak PC at 202 North 7th Street in Grand Junction, Colorado.
