The state of Colorado provided James J. Standley with a law license in 1989.

The Colorado State Bar found Jimmy guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to supervise contractors regarding collection work they performed on his behalf
• Negligence re: collection work resulted in numerous debtors felling embarrassed, insulted and frustrated
• Knowingly failed to take actions in a client matter
• Neglect in client matter led to dismissal of client’s case

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Colorado Supreme Court punished Jimmy by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 2- month suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Colorado Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Jimmy.
