Attorney Marcus Devine of Little Rock, AR; ethical troll, repeater

The State of Arkansas presented Marcus Christian Devine with a law license in 1998 after he graduated from the University of Arkansas School of Law.

The Committee on Professional Conduct found Marcus guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

Marcus’ 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to comply with Continuing Legal Education (CLE) mandate

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Committee on Professional Conduct punished Marcus by gifting him with a complimentary 18-month suspension of his law license.

Marcus’ 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to pay mandatory annual attorney registration dues

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Committee on Professional Conduct punished Marcus by gifting him with a complimentary 12-month suspension of his law license.

Marcus’ 3rd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Knowingly forged notary’s signature and notary stamp without the notary’s knowledge or consent
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Induced the trial court to believe that the forged notarization had been notarized according to state law
  • Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation
  • Engaged in a criminal act adversely reflecting on fitness to practice
  • Violated or attempted to violate the rules of professional conduct, knowingly assisted, or induced another to do so, or to did so through the acts of another

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Committee on Professional Conduct punished Marcus by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand and fined $1,000.00.

And lastly, because Attorney Misfits in Arkansas are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Marcus was never criminally charged with forgery.

As we speak (ca. November 2022), Marcus practices his so-called brand of law at 110 Trelon Way in Little Rock, Arkansas.
