Attorney Jeffrey Rogers of El Dorado, AR; thieving slacker

The state of Arkansas presented Jeffrey Childs Rogers with a law license in 1983 after he graduated from the University of Arkansas Law School.

The Committee on Professional found Jeff guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to take proper steps to effectuate client appeal
  • Failed to abide by client decisions regarding objectives of representation
  • Failed to consult with client re: means to be used in pursuing client objectives
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to comply with client information requests
  • Failed to keep client informed as to status of matter
  • Failed to refund unearned portion of advance fee (crook)
  • Failed to return client file to client upon termination
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Committee on Professional Conduct punished Jeff by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (November 2018), Jeff practices at 307 American Road in El Dorado, Arkansas.
