Attorney Marianne Gonko of Gilbert, AZ; slacker, loser

The state of Arizona presented Marianne Gonko with a law license in 1998 after she graduated from the Thomas M. Cooley School of Law.

The Arizona State Bar found Marianne guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to adequately communicate with her client
• Misrepresented the status of filing a crucial document needed to further the proceedings
• When her client asked if the document had been filed, Marianne told her she had filed it when she knew she had not done so
• Failed to provide client a written fee agreement
• Marianne’s victim was vulnerable

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Marianne by gifting her with a complimentary 30-day suspension of her law license and assessed $1,200.00 in investigative costs.

As we speak (ca. December 2023), Marianne practices her so-called practice of law with the Gonko Law Firm in Gilbert, Arizona.
