Attorney Elizabeth Tate of Scottsdale, AZ; moronic slacker

The state of Arizona presented Elizabeth Diane Tate with a law license in 1991 after she graduated from Notre Dame University School of Law. Liz was also provided with a law license to practice in Illinois and Indiana.

The Arizona State Bar found Liz guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to provide competent representation (moron)
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to act fairly in dealings with opposing party and counsel
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Abused the legal system
  • Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
  • Consistently demonstrated a failure to understand relevant legal doctrines or procedures
  • Acted negligently in determining whether she was competent to handle a matter.
  • Negligently failed to comply with court orders
  • Negligently failed to file documents by specific deadlines
  • Failed to provide opposing counsel with an adequate opening statement outline
  • Failed to address controlling case law in her arguments and pleadings
  • Failed to supervise her paralegal and assisted him in the unauthorized practice of law by failing to review the pleadings he wrote before filing them with the court
  • Liz’s failures resulted in monetary sanctions being imposed against her by the court
  • Misconduct involved multiple offenses

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders of Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Liz by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

It should be noted that in her State Bar profile, Liz has the chutzpah to state that she “typically charges $500 an hour.” With the misconduct set forth below, Liz should change occupations and seek to become a Standup Comedian.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Liz fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on her self-serving website at www.elizabethtatelaw.com. Apparently, she chose to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients for the purpose of not limiting her future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. July 2022), Liz practices he so-called idea of the law with Elizabeth D. Tate Attorney at Law at 7014 East Camelback Road in Scottsdale, Arizona.
