The Lord Chancellor and Mrs. Justice Cheema-Grubb found Phil guilty of the following misconduct.

• Conduct fell below standard expected of a magistrate
• Improperly released confidential information to the media

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, Lord Chancellor and Mrs. Justice Cheema-Grubb both apologists for Judicial Misfits, punished Phil by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
