Justice Erica Ndewere of Zimbabwe; ethical gremlin

The Zimbabwe Law Society presented Justice Eric Ndewere with a law license in 1999 after she graduated from the Zimbabwe Institute of Legal Studies.

The Judicial Service Commission has accused Justice Ndewere of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Improperly granted bail to opposition MCD Alliance vice chairman Job Sikhala
• Incited violence by granting bail on appeal to Sikhala after he spent a mere one month in prison
• Avoided the usual procedures in granting bail to Sikhala

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Justice Ndewere by the enablers associated with the Judicial Service Commission.

As we speak (ca. October 2020), Justice Ndewere continues to sit as a High Court judge in Harare, Zimbabwe.
