Judge Mbalu Mutava of Kenya; ethical gnome

In one matter, The Council of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK) has charged Mbalu with engaging in the following misconduct.

• Engaged in gross misconduct
• Inappropriately colluded with other parties
• Caused one or more cases to be assigned to himself without the knowledge and/or consent of the duty judge and the head of the Judicial Review Division
• Repeatedly conspired with various parties re: pending court matters

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Judge Mutava by the President of Kenya.

As we speak (ca. November 2017), Mbalu is on temporary suspension from the bench.
