Rev. Ray Comfort: Today’s “Rodney Dangerfield” Award Winner

Congratulations to….

Rev. Ray Comfort

Today’s “Rodney Dangerfield” Award Winner

Rev. Ray is yet another self-serving opportunist who has unjustly enriched himself by spewing forth an assortment of laughable comments regarding creationism.

In a recent (October 2014) comedy skit on The Comfort Zone Comedy Show, Rev. Ray decided to attack renowned physicist Stephen Hawking because he’s an acknowledged atheist.

Rev. Ray laughingly said that “The Bible says he [Hawking] is a fool.” Ray’s comedic rant was in response to Hawking telling El Mundo (Spanish paper) that he did not believe in God because science provided convincing answers to the origin of the universe. Ray went on to say:

  • “You know, if we disagree with the Bible, when someone says, ‘I’m an atheist,’ they’re saying, ‘I’m a fool.”.
  • “They’re saying nothing created everything, which is just ludicrous intellectual suicide.”
  • “The Bible says he who denies God’s existence is a fool, and if we say the guy is intelligent, then we are denying what scripture said.”

It should be noted that unlike Hawking who is a celebrated genius and PhD, Ray didn’t even go to college after grading from high school in New Zealand. In fact his first job was working as a gopher at a local bank in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Moreover, Ray is not an ordained minister. He merely had a local hack in Christchurch, New Zealand claim he was a full-time pastor after he worked at a local church for several years.

If one is looking for a few good laughs, just listen to some of the one-liners that Rev. Ray puts forth on a daily basis. Shouldn’t be long before he is offered an show on the Comedy Channel.

Congrats Ray; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of Americas Least Appreciated “Standup Comedians”; you are far too humble.
