Judge Gerald Webb of Chattanooga, TN; slacker, scofflaw

The state of Tennessee provided Gerald Webb with a law license in 1983 after he graduated from Samford University School of Law.

Bobby succeeded in duping the voters in the greater Carbondale area into electing him as a Circuit Court judge in 2010.

The Tennessee Board of Judicial Conduct found Gerry guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to properly discharge his judicial duties
  • Engaged in conduct bringing judiciary into public disrepute
  • Engaged in conduct adversely affecting administration of justice
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to perform judicial/administrative duties competently (dimwit)
  • Failed to properly maintain his law license
  • Failed to follow the law (scofflaw)

Gerry gave “legal tips of the day” on his Facebook account, some of which are as follows.

  • “Remember people, the goal of criminal and bad behavior is to away with it.”
  • “Downright humiliating when police are pulling crack from your crack. Find someplace else to hide your stash.”
  • “When stealing, steal is key.”

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Judicial Conduct Board punished Gerry by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. January 2022), Gerry practices his so-called version of jurisprudence as a General Sessions Court judge in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
