Senior Judge Humes J. Franklin Jr. of Richmond, VA; ethical dwarf

The state of Virginia presented Humes J. Franklin Jr. with a law license in 1967 after he graduated from the University of Virginia Law School.

The Virginia Judicial Inquiry and Review Commission found Humes guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Improperly expressed personal views on courthouse referendum
  • Publicly spoke in opposition to courthouse referendum
  • Letter to editor re: referendum published in The News Virginian
  • Failed to avoid even the appearance of engaging in a conflict of interest
  • Engaged in prohibited political speech opposing referendum

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Humes by the apologists for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Virginia Supreme Court.

As we speak (ca. February 2017), Humes continues to work as a Senior Retired judge for the Court of Appeals in Richmond. He also earns about $400 as a rent-a-judge (arbitrator/mediator/private judge) for Judicial Solutions PLC located in Stanton, Virginia.
