Former Judge Jerry Votendahl of Walla Walla, WA; ethical misfit

The state of Washington presented Jerry A. Votendahl with a law license in 1967 after he graduated from Gonzaga University

School of Law.

The Washington Commission on Judicial Conduct found Jerry guilty of engaging in the following misconduct, all of which took place while he was sitting as Walla Walla County District Court Judge.

  • Improperly endorsed Bill White as a candidate for County Sheriff
  • Expressed his support for Mr. White in a Letter to the Editor that was subsequently published in the Walla Walla Union-Bulletin
  • In his Letter to the Editor Jerry said Mr. White “deserves our vote” and that he was “in fact the only qualified candidate for sheriff”

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Washington State Supreme Court punished Jerry by gifting him with a complimentary admonishment.

As we speak (ca. June 2022), Jerry practices his so-called brand of law at 2455 Fairfield Drive in Walla Walla, Washington.
