Judge Michael Sullivan of South Bend, WA; lazy loser

The state of Washington presented Michael J. Sullivan with a law license in 1985 after he graduated from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School.

The Washington Judicial Commission found Judge Sullivan guilty of the following misconduct.

Under Washington law, Judge Sullivan was mandated to issue decisions in cases submitted to him within ninety (90) days from the time the issues are submitted to the court. Sullivan violated this law as follows:

  • Rodahl case: Submitted 10/08/12 – Failed to rule as of 10/23/13
  • AMEK Trust case: Submitted 10/21/13 – Failed to rule as of 10/08/14
  • McNeff case: Submitted 01/13/14 – Failed to rule as of 10/08/14

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Judicial Commission punished Michael by gifting him with a complimentary admonishment.

As we speak (ca. April 2015), Michael continues to sit as a Wahkiakum County Superior Court judge in South Bend, Washington.
