Attorney Helen Cornell of Nashville; serial offender  

 

The state of Tennessee provided Helen Loftin Cornell with a law license in 1987 after she graduated from Nashville Law School.

 

The Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility found Helen guilty of the following misconduct.

 

Helen’s 1stbite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree  

  • Knowingly engaged in conduct contrary to the disciplinary rules
  • Used false evidence

Participated in the creation or preservation of evidence which she knew was false

Attempted to perpetrate a fraud upon the Claims Commission in passing of a signature which she knew was forged

 

As a consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Helen by gifting her with a complimentary 6-month suspension of her law license.

Helen’s 2ndbite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree  

 

In one matter, Helen admitted that she transferred her mother’s home to herself by a power of attorney without the knowledge of her mother, which act required litigation for her mother to regain legal title to her.

 

As a consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Helen by gifting her with a complimentary censure.

In one matter, Helen pursued an invasion of privacy claim without factual bases and/or via the use of fabricated evidence.

 

As a consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Helen by gifting her with a second complimentary censure.

Helen’s 4thbite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree  

 

In one matter, Helen found it acceptable to misrepresent herself to a party whom she later added as a defendant in a lawsuit. Helen misrepresented her identity to this third party and sought information without ever revealing the purpose of her communication.

 

As a consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Helen by gifting her with a second complimentary 6-month suspension of her law license.

 

As we speak (ca. February 2015) Helen practices at 3635 Woodmont Blvd in Nashville, Tennessee.
