Attorney Barry Nelson of Cortaro, AZ; ethical goblin 

The state of Arizona provided Barry Glen Nelson with a law license in 1973 after he graduated from the University of Arizona Law School.

The Arizona State Bar found Barry guilty of the following misconduct.

• Wrote several check on insufficient fund account (rubber)
• Failed to maintain adequate client ledgers
• Failed to safeguard client property
• Failed to make all disbursements by pre-numbered check
• Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
• Failed to make monthly three-way reconciliations of trust accounts
• Failed to timely file motion to correct court record
• Failed to return client phone calls
• Misconduct involved multiple offenses
• Failed to timely refund unearned fees to multiple clients
• Failed to pursue spousal support and attorney fee’s on behalf of client
• Failed to perform services for which he was retained
• Failed to withdraw from case when it was required
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme punished Barry by gifting him with a complimentary 6-monthsuspension of his law license reprimand.

As we speak (ca. March 2015) Barry practices with The Law Office of Barry Nelson in Cortaro, Arizona.
