Attorney Dean Shyshlak of Portland, OR; ethical misfit
The state of Oregon provided Dean M. Shyshlak with a law license in 1991 after he graduated from the University of San Francisco Law School.
The Oregon State Bar found Dean guilty of the following misconduct.
- Failed to advise client of status of legal matter
- Failed to take any steps to collect lawful judgment on client’s behalf
- Failed to respond to numerous client attempts to contact him
- Failed to act with due diligence
- Failed to take any steps to protect client’s interests
- Failed to serve judgment debtor with court order requiring appearance on client’s behalf
- Neglected legal matter entrusted to him
- Misconduct involved multiple offenses
As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Oregon Supreme Court punished Dean by gifting him with a complimentary 60-day suspension of his law license.
As we speak (ca. February 2015) Dean practices with Dean M. Shyshlak PC at 10490 SW Eastridge Avenue in Portland, Oregon.
