Attorney Harnam Arneja of DC; repeat offender

The DC Bar presented Harnam S. Arneja with a law license in 1978.

The DC Bar Counsel found Harnam guilty of the following misconduct.

Harnam’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Improperly asserted retaining lien against client’s files
  • Failed to release client files when discharged
  • Failed to withdraw as counsel when fired as required
  • Engaged in conduct involving deceit, dishonesty, fraud, or misrepresentation

As a consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the DC Bar Counsel punished Cathy by gifting her with a complimentary 1- year suspension of his law license.

In one matter, Harnam failed to provide basis or rate of fee in writing to client in an immigration matter as he was required to do.

As a consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the DC Bar Counsel punished Cathy by gifting her with a complimentary admonition.

As we speak (ca. January 2015), Cathy practices with Arnejas Law Offices at 1001 Connecticut Avenue NW in Washington, DC.
