Attorney Dean Margolis of Minneapolis; lying loser

The state of Minnesota presented Dean Milton Margolis with a law license in 1989 after he graduated from William Mitchell Law School.

The Minnesota Office of Lawyer Regulation found Dean guilty of the following misconduct

  • Falsely claimed to represent client in workers’ compensation matter
  • Attempted to cover up phantom workers’ compensation representation by forging the alleged client’s signature on a fee agreement
  • Lied to Dept. of Labor fraud investigator about settlement of compensation claim without client’s knowledge or consent
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonest or misrepresentation
  • Attempted to conceal unauthorized settlement attempt by fabricating sham memo to the file memorializing conversation in which client authorized settlement
  • Attempted to deceive ethics investigators (Up yours, said Dean!)

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Minnesota Supreme Court punished Dean by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. January 2015), Dean practices with The Margolis Law Firm PA in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
