Attorney Stephen Madsen of St. Paul, MN; deadbeat loser

The state of Minnesota presented Stephen Louis Madsen with a law license in 1988.

The Minnesota Office of Lawyer Regulation found Stephen guilty of the following misconduct

  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Engaged in prohibited use of ex parte subpoenas
  • Agreed to settle and dismiss with prejudice client’s legal claims without his client’s knowledge or consent
  • Failed to make good faith effort to pay off or arrange for payment plan for default judgment entered against him in client’s subsequent malpractice case

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Minnesota Supreme Court punished Stephen by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. January 2015), Stephen practices in the Minneapolis, St. Paul, Minnesota area.
