Attorney Ronald Kopeska of Minneapolis; repeat offender

The state of Minnesota presented Ronald L. Kopeska with a law license in 1977 after he graduated from Hamline University Law School.

The Minnesota Office of Lawyer Regulation found Ronnie guilty of the following misconduct.

Ronnie’s 1^st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

In one matter, Ronnie testified falsely under oath (perjury) to a direct question put forth to him by a trial court judge.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Minnesota Supreme Court punished Ronnie by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

Because Attorney Misfits in Minnesota are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Ronnie was never criminally charged with perjury.

• Converted client funds to personal use
• Failed to inform receiver of disbursement of funds as required
• Failed to return client funds to client
• Engaged in a conflict of interest
• Failed to time satisfy court judgment entered in favor of receiver for amount converted (stolen) by Ronnie
• Entered into improper business transaction with client

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Minnesota Supreme Court punished Ronnie by gifting him with a complimentary 90-day suspension of his law license.
