Attorney Thomas Blackmar of Hastings, MN; ethical misfit

The state of Minnesota presented Thomas Blackmar with a law license in 1975 after he graduated from the University of Michigan Law School.

The Minnesota Office of Lawyer Regulation found Tommy guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to communicate with clients
  • Failed to return client file after being fired

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Minnesota Supreme Court punished Tommy by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. December 2014), Tommy practices at 119 West Second Street in Hastings, Minnesota.
