Solicitor William McGregor of Victoria, AUS; ethical misfit

The Victoria Law Society presented William McGregor with a law license in 1966.

The Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal found Billy guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Billy was involved in causing a deficiency in his firm’s trust account for a period of 10-12dyas. During that time, there was a risk that the sum of $160,000, which was moneys provided by other clients of Billy’s firm, could be lost.

Even if the loss did not take place, the risk was created when it should not have been.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Solicitor Misfits sitting on the Administrative Council punished Billy by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. December 2014), Bill practices with Baird & McGregor at 9 Lydiard Street, North Ballarat, Victoria, Australia.
