Attorney Joe Cartwright of Salt Lake City; ethical misfit

The state of Utah presented Joe Cartwright with a law license in 1997 after he graduated from the University of Oregon Law School.

The Ethics and Discipline Committee of the Utah Supreme Court found Danny guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to act with due diligence
  • Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of case
  • Failed to communicate with client
  • Violated or attempted to violate Rules of Conduct by assisting or inducing another to do so or through the acts of another

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Joey’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He was previously disciplined on several occasions for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Utah Supreme Court punished Joey by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. December 2014), Joey practices with the Cartwright Law Firm at 2150 South 1300 East in Salt Lake City, Utah.
