Attorney Lawrence Bruckner of Thomson, IL; convict, liar

The state of Illinois presented Lawrence Lloyd Bruckner with a law license in 1974 after he graduated from William & Mary Law School.

The Disciplinary Commission found Larry guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Drafted will and charitable trust that allowed him as trustee to improvidently invest trust funds
  • Engaged in an egregious conflict of interest
  • Pled guilty to unlawful sale of threatened species, freshwater clams or mussels
  • Attempted to obstruct ethics investigation re: criminal conviction by submitting a guilty plea form that he had altered to reflect that he had pled “no contest”

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Larry by gifting him with a complimentary 175-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. November 2014), Larry practices at 1110 Locust Street in Thomson, Illinois.

Warning: Larry does not carry legal malpractice insurance
