Attorney Stephen Glessner of Frederick, MD; ethical dwarf

The state of Maryland presented Stephen Anthony Glessner with a law license in 1984 after he graduated from Penn State University Law School.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found Stephen guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to provide competent representation (Moron)
  • Failed to advise client of constitutional right to testify on his own behalf
  • Failed to contact witnesses for trial who could have provided useful testimony to client’s defense
  • Failed to investigate every potential defense of which client had advised him
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to keep client reasonably informed about status of legal matter

In one matter, Stephen represented a defendant charged with various criminal offenses

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Maryland Supreme Court punished Stephen by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
