Judge Seth Hoyt Jr. of Stockton, CA; lifetime porker

The state of California presented Seth Russell Hoyt Jr. with a law license in 1997 after he graduated from Texas Tech University Law School.

Former Gov. Schwarzenegger was duped into appointing Seth as a San Joaquin County Superior Court judge in 2010. Seth didn’t receive the appointment because he was the most qualified attorney in the greater Stockton area. He received it because he had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

From the time he obtained his law license in 1997, Seth has had his significant snout firmly implanted in the Public trough. From 1997 through 2008, he worked as an assistant in the San Joaquin county District Attorney’s Office. In 2008, he was appointed as a court commissioner to handle low level cases.

It appears that no self-respecting law firm in the greater Stockton area was about to offer Seth a good paying job.

Gov. Schwarzenegger’s appointment of Seth resulted in him earning $178,789 in 2010. This is likely more money than Seth ever imagined he would earn practicing law.
