Attorney Phillip Barber of Nashville; ethical gremlin

The state of Tennessee provided Phillip Duane Barber with a law license in 1974 after he graduated from the University of Tulsa Law School.

The Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility found Phil guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Phil was charged with unlawfully using and authorizing a corporate client to unlawfully use, the toll-free telephone number of a large national corporation.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Phil by ordering that he be disbarred. However, several years later, the comedians sitting on the Supreme Court reinstated Phil’s law license.

As we speak (ca. October 2014) Phil practices at 201 Fourth Avenue North in Nashville, Tennessee.
