Judge Kaycee Jones of Livingston, TX; ethical misfit

The state of Texas presented Kaycee Lynn Jones with a law license in 2002 after she graduated from Suffolk University Law School.

The District 3-2 Grievance Committee found Kaycee guilty of the following misconduct

Kaycee’s misconduct came about when she was employed as an assistant criminal district attorney.

  • Engaged in improper ex parte (one-sided) communications with trial judge during a jury trial
  • One of the text messages from the judge suggested a line of questioning for the prosecutor
  • Kaycee handwrote judge’s message verbatim that had it delivered to the prosecutor during the trial

As a consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Kaycee by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. October 2014), Kaycee the Loser continues to sit on the bench in Livingston, Texas.
