Attorney Rachele Gaines of DC; lying Dumbo

The District of Columbia Bar presented Rachele M. Gaines with a law license in 1999.

The DC Bar Counsel found Rachele guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to provide competent representation (Dumbo)
  • Failed to act with due diligence
  • Failed to communicate with client
  • Failed to explain matter necessary to allow client to make informed decisions re: representation
  • Made a false statement of material fact
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation

As a consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the DC Bar Counsel punished Nate by gifting her with a complimentary 30-day suspension of her law license.

As we speak (ca. October 2014), Rachele is employed by the Office of the Attorney General at 441 Fourth Street NW in Washington, DC.
