Attorney John Berman of Denver; perverted loser

The state of Colorado presented John Alan Berman with a law license in 1975 after he graduated from the University of Denver Law School.

Disciplinary Counsel found Johnny guilty of the following misconduct

In one matter, Johnny represented a female client in a bankruptcy matter. Berman’s client was dissolving her marriage, and the bankruptcy filing needed to be completed before her divorce could be finalized.

While representing the client, Johnny touched her without her consent or permission in a manner that she found offensive. Johnny’s conduct when coupled with a comment he made about her appearance, caused the client emotional discomfort and violated her trust in Johnny as her attorney.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Colorado Supreme Court punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 9-month suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Colorado Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Johnny.
