Attorney Nicholas Athanasiou of Denver; convicted felon

The state of Colorado presented Nicholas James Athanasiou with a law license in 1996 after he graduated from Willamette University of Law School.

Disciplinary Counsel found Nicky guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Nicky pleaded guilty to one count of possession of a controlled substance. He was later sentenced to four years of supervised felony probation.

Nicky’s conviction stemmed from his acceptance of cocaine on several occasions from his client as payment for his legal fees.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Colorado Supreme Court punished Nicky by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak, (ca. September 2014), Nicky practices with Athanasiou & Associates LLC at 6961 East Walsh Place in Denver, Colorado.
