Attorney Howard Aison of Amsterdam, NY; ethical gremlin

The state of New York presented Howard Aison with a law license in 1972 after he graduated from Brooklyn Law School.

The New York Judicial Commission found Howie guilty of the following misconduct during the time he was a Judge on the Amsterdam City Justice Court.

As a part-time judge, Howie arranged to have charges against client filed in a court which did not have jurisdiction to hear the matter for the purpose of circumventing the prohibition against practicing law in his own court.

Failed to disqualify himself in case despite the fact he had previously represented the complaining witness, and held the defendant in summary contempt without complying with proper procedures.

Represented defendants in three cases that had originated in his own court

Filed amended answer

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits on the Judicial Commission punished Howie by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. August 2014) Howie practices at One Guy Park Avenue in Amsterdam, New York.
