Attorney Diane Fenton of Virginia Beach, VA; ethical misfit

The state of Virginia presented Diane Baily Fenton with a law license in 1981 after she graduated from the University of Maryland Law School.

The Virginia State Bar Disciplinary Board found Jane guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to keep client informed as to status of legal matter
• Failed to follow rules on withdrawing representation

As a consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Board punished Jane by gifting her with a complimentary 90-day suspension of her law license.
