Attorney Jane Eshagpoor of Richmond, VA; ethical misfit
The state of Virginia presented Jane Karen Eshagpoor with a law license in 1980 after he graduated from the University of Richmond Law School.
The Virginia State Bar Disciplinary Board found Jane guilty of the following misconduct.
- Failed to safeguard client property
- Engaged in the illegal practice of law
- Failed to comply with client requests for information
- Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up Yours, said Jane!)
- Failed to deposit advance fee in trust account as required
- Failed to comply with terms of a subpoena
- Failed to maintain separate ledges re: client funds
- Failed to keep client informed as to status of legal matter
- Failed to take proper steps to avoid prejudice to client after being fired
- Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
As a consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Board punished Jane by gifting her with a complimentary 90-day suspension of her law license.
As we speak (ca. August 2014), Jane practices in the Richmond, Virginia area.
