Attorney Elden Stoops of North Manchester, IN; ethical misfit

The state of Indiana presented Elden Stoops with a law license in 1979 after he graduated from Valparaiso University Law School.

The Indiana Supreme Court Disciplinary Commission found Elden guilty of the following misconduct.

  1. Engaged in improper ex parte (one-sided) communications with judge
  2. Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  3. Assisted judge in conduct that he knew violated code of judicial conduct
  4. Failed to comply with court rules when filing motion for relief
  5. Failed to provide opposing counsel with copy of motion

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Indiana Supreme Court punished Elden by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. July 2014), Lonnie practices at 204 West Main Street in North Manchester, Indiana.
