Attorney Russell Cranmer of Wichita, KS; convicted pervert

The state of Kansas presented Russell B. Cranmer with a law license in 1990 after he graduated from Washburn University Law School in Topeka.

The Kansas Disciplinary Board found Russ guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, a Wichita police officer and several women employed in an office building adjacent to respondent's home observed Russ engaging in certain conduct in his home.

As a consequence of the women’s observations and municipal complaints, the Wichita prosecutor charged Russ with eight (8) counts of lewd and lascivious behavior. Wichita law provides that lewd and lascivious behavior includes:

“Publicly 'Publicly exposing a sex organ or exposing a sex organ in the presence of a person who is not the spouse of the offender and who has not consented thereto, with intent to arouse or gratify the sexual desires of the offender or another.”

After a trial, Russ was found guilty of seven (7) counts of lewd and lascivious behavior and was placed on probation by the trial judge.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Kansas Supreme Court punished Russ by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. June 2014) Russ practices at 2831 East Central in Wichita, Kansas.
