Attorney Jeremy McGuire of Palmerston North, NZ; ethical gremlin

The Law Society of New Zealand presented Jeremy James McGuire with a law license in 1992.

The New Zealand Lawyers and Conveyancers Disciplinary Tribunal found Jeremy guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to accept responsibility for misconduct
• Engaged in unsatisfactory conduct
• Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Up Yours, said Jeremy!)
• Improperly attempted to collect fee after ethics complaint filed against him
• Knowingly breached his professional obligations
• Repeatedly attacked members of the Disciplinary Tribunal

As a consequence of his misconduct, the patron saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Zealand Lawyers and Conveyancers Disciplinary Tribunal punished Jeremy by gifting him with a complimentary censure.
