Federal Judge William Lee of Ft. Wayne; one of the good guys

Judge William Lee has been sitting on the federal bench in Fort Wayne, Indiana since 1981.

In the early 1980s, I filed a civil lawsuit (tort claim) against a sitting Allen County, Indiana (Fort Wayne) judge.

The lawsuit involved an order by the Allen County judge that caused me to suffer significant financial losses.

Of course the judge and Allen County defended by asserting that the judge was “absolutely immune” from being sued.

Subsequently, Judge William Lee ruled against the County judge and in my favor, which then led to the County agreeing to settle with me for an undisclosed amount.

Judge William Lee’s conduct in this manner clearly indicates that he comported himself to the highest standards we all expect of the judiciary.
